Narsisa Richard (24) is among young ambitious emerging entrepreneurs who are making a BIG difference in the society today.

She is the owner of "Hawa Products" a business which produces and distributes Hawa Karanga and Hawa Pilipili food products.

Sharing her story in the KUMEKUCHA KISHINDO program recently on ITV, Narsisa inspired both young and old  who wish to step into entrepreneurship.

Starting from a humble beginnings with  as little as TZS70,000 capital, she has managed to grow her business within a very short period of time.

"I did not care about the amount, all I knew is I wanted to start and believed that I would succeed through it," Narsisa positively reiterates her ambition.

Narsisa inspires confidence and hope among youth that lack of financial opportunity should not be a limitation in starting a business because this could be solved through personal savings and utilizing social capital networks such as the influence of family members.

Balancing her time between college studies at Mzumbe University and launching her business idea in Mbeya , Narsisa with an entrepreneurial mindset started baking pea nuts which she branded as Hawa Karanga. "By the time I started I was in my final year. I was able to set time intervals for production and school until I completed my semesters successfully," She says.

Narsisa recently graduated with a degree in Human Resource Management and also launched her second and a new product line called Hawa Pilipili which she says is doing well in the market.

Unlike many youth who expect  employment after graduating yet unemployment rate among youth is increasing  due to high volume of job entrants who cannot find jobs, Narsisa proudly has already found a solution through gainful self employment.

She confidently says, "I am currently managing my own business but also doing the production and supply by myself and so far it has become my job and I do not have tensions of life after graduating as most of newly graduates got."

Though Narsisa could also be facing common challenges many young entrepreneurs encounter  either at entry or growth stage such as lack of requisite business training/education, lack of access to government support services, and unfriendly business regulations, she is doing all her best to overcome them by undertaking market promotion for her products through various methods such as social media platforms like instagram account under the name "__hawaproducts" and through participation in various events.

Her advice to those who would like to start and build a successful business is to maintain a positive attitude, have a strong belief in themselves, their product or service and to start viewing themselves as achievers regardless of how small their start up capital could be.

How big is your VISION? You probably should read this story.

An elephant and a dog became pregnant at the same time. Three months down the line the dog gave birth to six puppies. Six months later the dog was pregnant again, and nine months on it gave birth to another dozen puppies. The pattern continued.

On the eighteenth month the dog approached the elephant questioning, "Are you sure that you are pregnant? We became pregnant on the same date, I have given birth three times to a dozen puppies and they are now grown to become big dogs, yet you are still pregnant. Whats going on?".

The elephant replied, "There is something I want you to understand. What I am carrying is not a puppy but an elephant. I only give birth to one in two years. When my baby hits the ground, the earth feels it. When my baby crosses the road, human beings stop and watch in admiration, what I carry draws attention. So what I'm carrying is mighty and great."

How BIG is your business or entrepreneurship AMBITION?

If you have BIG ambitions, you are confident, determined and is never shaken by other people's little achievements.

Jack Ma failed his university entrance 3 times, applied for 30 jobs and was rejected from all of them, KFC hired all 24 people that applied except him, rejected by Harvard 10 times. Jack Ma has now a net worth of $ 46.6 billion.

If you are a believer then your faith assures you that your prayers will be definitely answered even if others receive answers to their prayers before your eyes.

Never be envious of others testimony because your blessings are on the way.

Say to yourself "My time is coming, and when it hits the surface of the earth, people shall yield in admiration."

I ASSURE YOU!

Choose wisely-Money Generation or Economic Sustainability

Many of us intend to start and operate our own businesses because of different reasons. Some want to become real entrepreneurs by providing something of value to the society, some want to make it their full time job, some want to quit employment and become economic independent yet some want to have just another source of income while maintaining their jobs.

WHAT is your REAL motive?

Well, all these reasons are justifiable except that majority of us always focus on MONEY generating businesses as the real motivation when it comes to choosing a business idea.

Quick MONEY results become the main issue while neglecting the most important aspect upon which business SUCCESS and SUSTAINABILITY depends.

While it might be true that MONEY is crucial in business but it is not an end itself.  This is the reason why if you look around well you see very few RICH and SUCCESSFUL businesses.

WHY?  It is because many businesses are built on wrong SYSTEMS  and this is the reason leading to their slow growth and lack of resilience during economic transitions.

Therefore, MONEY should not be the main motivation when it comes to what type of business to do for business and economic sustainability.

If getting MONEY was the real issue, then know that even those selling fruits on the street get money, the neighbouring shopkeeper who serves you daily gets money or even the local fishmonger gets a lot of money too.

BELIEVE me, what you see in an ordinary business' life as success could only be just an illusion!

I strongly caution you not to start a business because it is generating a lot of money if in any case you want to experience economic success and sustainability.

Instead aim at understanding very well your business idea and its operational system upon which your business will exist and operate. The right business system is like a strong foundation upon which a good house is built. It can be as simple as a checklist or a complex system that involves the integration of programs.

An effective business system is the only practical way to manage the important details of your business operation. These details are found in lower-level subsystems for example a marketing system may have a subsystem called lead generation and the lead generation could have subsystems like company website and direct mail.

If you get this RIGHT,  right from the beginning when developing your BUSINESS PLAN you will see remarkable results along the way in your operations including minimum running costs, delighted customers, excellent organization and increased profits.

Finally remember that good business system incorporates well defined processes, needed components, the right people, ensures quality and speed as well as provides measurement.
